We had my niece over yesterday + she’s staying the night tonight, I love her, but God she can be exhausting. She really likes playing in water and it’s so difficult to keep her from making a huge mess with it. My little sister is also extremely stressed from her being here, and that’s understandable but isn’t my fault. I rarely even know that she’ll be here before she is (which isn’t to say my sister and mom even always know she’ll be here), so it’s really unfair to expect me to just somehow intuitively know that. Similarly, it’s kinda frustrating to have people act like I can do the things they can. Not only am I just physically disabled, I have chronic pain and today it was worse because I had to take an injection last night into my thigh which exacerbated the pain and muscle twitches I already struggle with. Anyway, other than that, I did get to leave the house today! It’s been like a month since I last got to leave. Earlier this month, I was supposed to go on a drive with my family, but my brother had a fit of rage so I had to stay home with him so that he didn’t scare or hurt my niece and mom any more than he already had. I went to the dollar store with my mom and picked up some stuff we needed, and a book of crosswords. I did them for about 20 minutes today while listening to music before I started this journal entry. Yesterday, I finished crocheting a bag with a fried egg motif and today I sewed the handles on. I have to sew and attach the lining still, but I can’t do that with my niece here because I need help doing it and my mom can’t spare the time to help me when she’s over. Hopefully, I’ll finish up reading The Mill House Murders either today or tomorrow, because I would like to put in a hold on some books at the library so I can pick them up. I need to get back into reading original nonfiction works more frequently again because it really makes me fulfilled. I never go very long without reading in general, however I’ve been reading a lot of scientific articles and fanfic lately. Which is okay, but I’d like to get back to reading mystery fiction again.
I’m currently in the process of porting in my original artwork and moving my reviews to the review tab. Additionally, I’ve decided that I want to add shrines or even informal wikis to my fanworks section. The first of which is likely going to be a polished, independent wiki for Crashbox. As you may have seen in the stamps section on my homepage, I am a huge, life-long fan of Crashbox. Conversations about this show online are extremely limited, and when it is discussed, it’s often by people who have only ever seen it in adulthood and find it creepy! Unlike them, I grew up eagerly awaiting the free HBO trials we would get occasionally so I could make my family endure watching it, as it was one of the only shows I ever actively wanted to watch. It heavily shaped my art and my sense of humor, and I believe that if I hadn’t grown up watching it, I also wouldn’t have continued to keep such an interest in furthering my education, even if through self-study.
The wiki is set to include an itemized list of every episode of Crashbox and each of the games that were “played” on it. It will also include stats for the games, such as which were played the most, the least, and other categories. I have plans for other sections, but currently, those are the parts I’ve documented already. I’m trying to determine if I want the episode listing to be hosted directly on my site in the form of a table, or to be a simple downloadable PDF. Aesthetically, I would prefer it to be on-site, however it would likely be incredibly time consuming. We’ll just have to see.
In addition to the Crashbox shrine/wiki, I would also like to incorporate shrines for other media I am very fond of, however I only want to work on one at a time, for now, so those remain to be seen.
Unrelated, but I’ve shifted around the padding and margins somewhat and changed my little Acorn PC decoration to have a fixed position now! I had set it to absolute without realizing that it prevented it from scrolling with the page, but now he’ll always be around following the bottom of the screen as you scroll. :)

This is going to be so tedious to update I fear. But look! A blog entry! This is so stressful, lol.
